If you want a cool looking screensaver to display on your monitor during those times when you’re not using the computer, you could try the 3PlaneSoft-developed Mayan Waterfall 3D Screensaver. This beautifully made screensaver displays a flowing waterfall in the middle of an exotic jungle. As the image moves about you see that this is not ordinary part of the jungle – it is the jungle spot near the remnants of a Mayan settlement.

From a visual point of view, this screensaver is quite good. The waterfall looks quite realistic – not enough to get you fooled that you are looking at a real waterfall, but its pretty good. The Mayan remnants also look quite realistic. As the image moves about you are presented with different views of the waterfall, Mayan ruins and the exotic jungle.

This screensaver has more that good looks to offer. The visual effects are accompanied by a nice soundtrack. If for some reason you do not like the default soundtrack, there are two things you can do. You can for example mute the music. To do so you need simply press the M key on your keyboard. Or you can use your own music tracks to create a playlist. You can create a playlist from the Mayan Waterfall 3D Screensaver’s Settings window.

Download – the download weighs in at close to 18MB. On a less than spectacular internet connection, it may take a while for the download to complete.
Installation – at the time of writing this, Mayan Waterfall 3D Screensaver provides support for Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7 (32-bit and 64-bit editions). You can install Mayan Waterfall 3D Screensaver in English, German, French and Russian. During the installation process you are asked to install the 3Planesoft Screensaver Manager. This manager provides information about your currently installed 3PlaneSoft screensaver and about other screensaver 3PlaneSoft has to offer. The manager allows you to access the settings of all the 3PlaneSoft screensavers installed on your system. It also comes with a feature to automatically change the screensaver after a specific amount of time, or to display a different screensaver each time the computer goes idle. This manager is quite useful if you have more than one 3PlaneSoft screensaver.
Limitations – after 90 seconds a nag screen will appear. To get rid of this nag screen you have to purchase a license.
